Rotational Development Program

Flexport•Atlanta, GA

About The Position

Flexport’s 18-month Rotational Development Program is designed to build operational and technical capabilities for careers in global trade. Participants complete three six-month rotations in Gateway Operations (Air or Ocean), Customs, and Sales/Account Management. Each rotation involves live, revenue-generating work rather than shadowing or classroom-only training, while an AI and low-code curriculum runs throughout the program. Participants gain operational and commercial experience, build automation and reporting skills, and earn certifications in AI and low-code tooling. At graduation, participants present a capstone project addressing a business problem with a tooling or process solution. Graduates are placed primarily in Account Management, with possible paths into Automation Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering/Consulting, Sales Engineering, or traditional Operations, Sales, or Customs roles. Participants receive support from a day-to-day manager in each rotation and a Rotation Program Manager who tracks development. Midpoint and end-of-rotation evaluations, bi-weekly cohort touchpoints, an alumni mentor community, and increased earning potential as program benchmarks are met are also included.
