About The Position

The Digital Fulfillment Specialist drives the growth and execution of The Fresh Market’s digital fulfillment programs across platforms including Curbside, Instacart, Uber Eats, DoorDash, and EZ Cater. The role promotes operational consistency, fast picking, and accurate orders while working with store leadership and department teams to maintain product availability, quality, and presentation. The specialist helps ensure digital guests receive a high-quality, frictionless experience comparable to the in-store experience and supports guest flow and checkout efficiency.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in retail, eCommerce, fulfillment, or guest service.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple orders in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills for guest and team interactions.
• Ability to prioritize workload while meeting tight deadlines.
• Basic technology proficiency, including mobile devices, handheld scanners, and order management systems.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of grocery products, merchandising standards, and guest service best practices.
• Familiarity with third-party delivery platforms and processes.
• Proven track record of meeting key performance metrics such as order accuracy and speed to pick.
• Experience coordinating across multiple departments to achieve operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily execution of digital fulfillment orders, ensuring speed, accuracy, and adherence to brand standards.
• Maintain operational consistency across digital platforms and coordinate with internal teams and third-party partners.
• Ensure on-time order completion, speed-to-pick performance, and proactive communication about substitutions and order changes.
• Partner with department teams to maintain in-stock positions, product quality, and appropriate merchandising for digital fulfillment.
• Stage, package, and verify orders for accuracy, quality, and presentation before guest pickup or delivery hand-off.
• Track order metrics, guest feedback, and operational performance, and share insights with leadership to support continuous improvement.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach at the front end and throughout the store.
• Manage front-end guest flow and efficiency by directing and supporting cashiers and minimizing backups.
