About The Position

The Digital Fulfillment Specialist drives the growth and accurate, consistent execution of The Fresh Market’s digital fulfillment programs across Curbside, Instacart, Uber Eats, DoorDash, and EZ Cater. The role helps ensure digital guests receive the same high-quality, frictionless experience as in-store guests by maintaining operational consistency, speed to pick, order accuracy, product availability, quality, and presentation. The Specialist works closely with store leadership and department teams and contributes to a welcoming guest experience and efficient front-end operations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in retail, eCommerce, fulfillment, or guest service.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple orders in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills for guest and team interactions.
• Ability to prioritize workload while meeting tight deadlines.
• Basic technology proficiency, including mobile devices, handheld scanners, and order management systems.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, grasp, bend, and reach; lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds independently; and work around extreme temperatures.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods without a break, for up to 4 hours or as required by law.
• Ability to use knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Must wear an approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of grocery products, merchandising standards, and guest service best practices.
• Familiarity with third-party delivery platforms and processes.
• A proven track record of meeting key performance metrics such as order accuracy and speed to pick.
• Experience coordinating across multiple departments to achieve operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily execution of digital fulfillment orders, ensuring speed, accuracy, and adherence to brand standards.
• Maintain operational consistency across digital platforms by coordinating with internal teams and third-party partners.
• Ensure on-time order completion, speed-to-pick performance, and proactive communication about substitutions and order changes.
• Partner with department teams to maintain in-stock positions, product quality, and proper merchandising for digital fulfillment.
• Stage, package, and verify orders for accuracy, quality, and presentation before guest pickup or delivery hand-off.
• Track order metrics, guest feedback, and operational performance, and share insights with leadership to support continuous improvement.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach at the front end and throughout the store.
• Manage front-end guest flow and efficiency by directing and supporting cashiers and minimizing backups.
