About The Position

Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by taking orders, delivering meals, cleaning and setting tables, maintaining clean kitchen supplies, and opening or closing the restaurant. The role serves customers, including senior citizens, and may deliver meals to customers outside the building or prepare takeout orders. The employee assists the restaurant team as needed and works to address customer concerns promptly. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills and a courteous, helpful demeanor.
Ability to communicate with and respect the needs of the senior citizen population.
Ability to read and speak clearly.
Ability to work with numbers as required.
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations as applicable.

Responsibilities

Take and write customer orders and serve food and beverages in a timely manner.
Learn menu and specialty items, including ingredients and cooking methods, to describe them to customers.
Note customers’ special dietary needs or requests.
Monitor and clean tables during meal service; clear, prepare, and set tables for the next service.
Assist other restaurant team members as needed and check for additional tasks before leaving at the end of each shift.
Ensure customer satisfaction and address issues in a timely manner.
Keep the kitchen supplied with clean dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness during the shift, including taking out trash, cleaning floors, and returning dishes, pots, pans, and utensils to their proper locations.
Deliver meals to customers located outside the building and prepare takeout orders in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
