Diesel Technician Apprentices work in a fast-paced environment and help maintain clean places with friendly faces. They interact with customers and drivers, providing service that improves their travel experience. No professional experience is required; Love’s provides training through its apprentice program. Apprentices can expect to learn electrical, air conditioning and heating, wheel-end assembly, air system, air brake, and charging system diagnostics and repairs; basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement; and parts lookup and acquisition. The role also involves assisting customers with roadside services and learning preventative maintenance services. Apprentices work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed, and must be able to obtain a Department of Transportation medical card, paid for by Love’s.
