Diesel Technician Apprentice
About The Position
Love’s is hiring a Diesel Technician Apprentice to work in a fast-paced environment, keep work areas clean, and assist customers and drivers. Applicants without professional mechanical experience are welcome and will be trained through the apprentice program. Training includes electrical, air conditioning and heating, wheel-end assembly, air system, air brake, and charging system diagnostics and repairs; basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement; and parts lookup and acquisition. Apprentices also learn preventative maintenance and assist with roadside services. The role requires working a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed, and the ability to obtain a Department of Transportation medical card, paid for by Love’s.
Requirements
- Mechanically inclined; professional mechanical experience is not required.
- Ability to move and lift 75+ pounds while working in close quarters.
- Ability to work in various temperatures.
- Ability to obtain a Department of Transportation medical card; Love’s pays for it.
- Ability to work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
Responsibilities
