About The Position

DaVita is hiring a Dialysis Technician (PCT) to provide patient care at the Taylor Park Dialysis Center in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, with the expectation of floating to other clinics in the region as needed. Paid training is provided through a combination of classroom and hands-on instruction, which may take place at another facility or training clinic. Training hours may vary; teammates typically work 32–40 hours per week during training. The position offers opportunities to advance through a clinical ladder and may include reimbursement for a Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) license. PCTs spend most of their day providing direct, one-on-one care and may care for up to four or five patients at a time. They help provide safe, comfortable, hygienic dialysis treatment; monitor patients before, during, and after treatment; measure and record patient statistics and observations; and set up hemodialysis machines. Opening duties include preparing the water room and bicarbonate, testing water for chlorine, and checking that tools are calibrated. The role also involves educating patients about kidney dialysis and building ongoing relationships with patients receiving treatment several times a week. The clinic has 13 chairs, including an isolation chair, and uses B. Braun dialysis machines. PCTs work as part of a cross-functional clinical team that includes technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership, and work under the supervision of a registered nurse. Schedules are rotational and may involve long shifts, early starts, evenings, weekends, holidays, and work at other clinics to maintain full-time hours. The position is open for a minimum of three days.
