DaVita is hiring a Dialysis Technician (PCT) to provide patient care at the Taylor Park Dialysis Center in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, with travel to other clinics in the region as needed. The clinic has 13 chairs, including an isolation chair, and uses B. Braun dialysis machines. Paid training is provided through a mix of classroom instruction and hands-on practice; training may take place at a different facility or training clinic. DaVita reimburses the Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) license and offers career development paths through its clinical ladder. PCTs provide direct, one-on-one care and may care for up to four or five patients at a time. They help prepare the water room and bicarbonate, test water for chlorine, check tool calibration, set up dialysis machines, monitor patients before, during, and after treatment, record measurements and observations, and educate patients about kidney dialysis. The role involves exposure to blood and needles and working with acid or bicarbonate. PCTs work under the supervision of an RN as part of a cross-functional clinical team. Schedules are rotational and may include shifts from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; starts may be as early as 4:00 a.m. Typical schedules are 10–14 hours per day, three to four days per week, including at least two Saturdays per month. During training, teammates typically work 32–40 hours per week, though hours may vary. The position requires flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to float among clinics to maintain full-time hours. Patient needs may affect shift times.
