About The Position

Presidio ServiceNow Developers design, build, enhance, and support scalable capabilities on the ServiceNow platform. This role is part of the Presidio Managed Services ServiceNow team and is responsible for developing and enhancing the ServiceNow platform to support service delivery, engineering operations, and customer-facing teams. The platform is designed as a domain separated instance supporting many managed services customers within the environment. The role translates business and operational requirements into reliable technical solutions. The role supports platform enhancements, ITOM capabilities, workflow automation, integrations, reporting, portals, and custom applications that improve service quality, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver hands-on development while also contributing to solution design, technical troubleshooting, documentation, deployment quality, and mentoring less experienced developers when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform development, configuration, and administration experience in an enterprise or managed services environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow application development, including server-side and client-side scripting, Glide APIs, business rules, script includes, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, ACLs, notifications, and scheduled jobs.
  • Experience developing workflow automation using Flow Designer, Workflow Studio, subflows, actions, approvals, notifications, and record-based automation patterns.
  • Experience with ITSM and Service Catalog functionality, including catalog items, record producers, variable sets, fulfillment workflows, incident, problem, change, request, and knowledge-related processes.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow integrations, including REST or SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server concepts, import sets, transform maps, connection and credential management, and integration troubleshooting.
  • Experience with ITOM capabilities such as Event Management, Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB data models, relationship mapping, and operational service health is strongly preferred for day-one success.
  • Ability to design maintainable technical solutions from business requirements, user stories, process maps, and operational use cases.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification is required

Nice To Haves

  • ServiceNow CAD (Certified Application Developer certification is preferred
  • Experience in a managed services provider, consulting, or customer-facing delivery environment supporting multiple customers, domains, integrations, or service models.
  • Experience with Service Portal or Employee Center development, including widgets, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, UX improvements, and customer-facing portal enhancements.
  • Experience with CMDB health, CI class models, discovery patterns, reconciliation, data quality controls, and service dependency mapping.
  • Familiarity with source control, scoped applications, application repository, ATF, Agile/Scrum delivery, backlog management, and development velocity metrics.
  • Working knowledge of cloud, network, infrastructure, monitoring, security, or observability tools commonly integrated with ServiceNow.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for automation, simplification, reuse, and technical debt reduction across platform workflows and operational processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, configure, and support ServiceNow platform enhancements across applications, workflows, forms, tables, scripts, portals, reports, dashboards, and integrations.
  • Implement and support ITOM capabilities, including Event Management, Discovery-aligned CMDB improvements, Service Mapping support, operational health views, and related automation.
  • Build and maintain workflow automation using Flow Designer, Workflow Studio, business rules, script includes, client scripts, catalog items, and other platform capabilities.
  • Develop and enhance Service Catalog and portal experiences that improve request intake, customer usability, fulfillment efficiency, and operational visibility.
  • Design, build, and support integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise or customer systems using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, MID Server, import sets, transform maps, web services, and API-based patterns.
  • Translate business requirements, user stories, and operational pain points into scalable technical designs that align with platform standards, security requirements, and maintainability expectations.
  • Support testing, peer reviews, release readiness, deployment planning, update set management, and post-deployment validation across development, test, and production environments.
  • Troubleshoot defects, integration issues, automation failures, data quality problems, and platform performance concerns through structured root cause analysis.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, design notes, configuration standards, test evidence, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
  • Partner with platform administrators, architects, service delivery leaders, and operational teams to reduce technical debt and improve platform reliability.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers or administrators on development standards, troubleshooting approaches, and ServiceNow best practices.
