Detail Specialist
About The Position
U-Haul is hiring a Detail Specialist to clean and detail its trucks and trailers and help keep fleet equipment in top condition for customers. The role works in a detailing bay and production line, using U-Haul’s proprietary technology and company-provided tools. It can provide an entry point to other positions at U-Haul, with opportunities to learn on the job and participate in a Technician Training Program that includes classes from Ford, GMC, and U-Haul. A paid hands-on working interview is offered. The position is located at 29600 Michigan Ave, Inkster, Michigan 48141, and is not eligible for employer sponsorship. Applicants must be legally authorized to work without employer sponsorship.
Requirements
- Driver’s license.
- Ability to work both as part of a team and individually.
- Regular attendance.
- Legally authorized to work without employer sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Clean and buff trucks and trailers.
- Remove decals from damaged equipment leaving the fleet and prepare the equipment for sale.
- Use industry-standard safety equipment.
- Work in a production line.
- Assist in additional areas as necessary, following the supervisor’s directives and guidance.
- Use U-Haul proprietary technology to care for field vehicles.
