Detail Specialist
About The Position
The Detail Specialist cleans and details U-Haul trucks and trailers to keep the fleet in top condition for customers. The role works in a production-line detail bay and uses U-Haul’s proprietary technology and industry-standard safety equipment to care for field vehicles. Team members may learn on the job, receive support and tools from U-Haul, and participate in the Technician Training Program, which includes classes from Ford, GMC, and U-Haul. The position can provide opportunities to learn and advance to other roles within the Company. Team members are expected to assist in additional areas as needed, following their supervisor’s directions and guidance. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. U-Haul states that it will not hire or re-hire nicotine-product users in Texas and other listed states.
Requirements
- Driver’s license.
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
- Regular attendance.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Clean and buff trucks and trailers.
- Remove decals from damaged equipment leaving the fleet and prepare the equipment for sale.
- Use industry-standard safety equipment.
- Work in a production-line setting.
- Willingly assist in additional areas as necessary, following the supervisor’s directives and guidance.
