About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a Detail Specialist to clean and detail its truck and trailer fleet, helping keep equipment in top condition for customers. The role is based at 2800 Two Notch Rd, Columbia, South Carolina. Detail Specialists work in detailing bays and on a production line, using U-Haul proprietary technology and company-provided tools and safety equipment to care for fleet vehicles. The position offers on-the-job learning and opportunities to grow into other roles within the company, including participation in U-Haul’s Technician Training Program, with classes from Ford, GMC, and U-Haul. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. U-Haul states that it will not hire or re-hire nicotine-product users in certain listed states; South Carolina is not among those states.

Requirements

Driver’s license.
Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually.
Regular attendance.
Legally authorized to work without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Clean and buff trucks and trailers.
Remove decals from damaged equipment leaving the fleet and prepare that equipment for sale.
Use industry-standard safety equipment.
Work in a production line.
Willingly assist in additional areas as needed, following the supervisor’s directives and guidance.
