Detail Specialist
About The Position
U-Haul is hiring a Detail Specialist to clean and detail trucks and trailers, helping keep its fleet in top condition for customers. The role is based at 862 S Placentia Av, Placentia, California. Compensation is $16.90 to $19.00 per hour. The position is not eligible for employer sponsorship; applicants must be legally authorized to work without requiring sponsorship. Detail Specialists work in production-line detail bays and use U-Haul’s proprietary technology to care for field vehicles. U-Haul provides tools for the job and on-the-job learning, with opportunities to develop through the Technician Training Program, including classes from Ford, GMC, and U-Haul. The company describes this position as an opportunity to begin a career at U-Haul and advance to other positions. A paid hands-on working interview and a $100 hiring bonus are offered.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work both as part of a team and individually.
- Regular attendance.
Responsibilities
- Clean and buff trucks and trailers.
- Remove decals from damaged equipment leaving the fleet and prepare the equipment for sale.
- Use industry-standard safety equipment.
- Work in a production line.
- Assist in additional areas as needed, following a supervisor’s directives and guidance.
