Detail Specialist
About The Position
U-Haul is hiring a Detail Specialist to clean and detail trucks and trailers and help keep its fleet in top condition for customers. The role is based at 8710 Burnet Rd, Austin, Texas 78757. Team members work in detailing bays and a production line, using U-Haul’s proprietary technology and company-provided tools. The position offers opportunities to learn on the job, participate in technician training classes from Ford, GMC, and U-Haul, and advance to other roles within the company. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. A paid hands-on working interview is offered, along with a $100 hiring bonus.
Requirements
- Driver’s license.
- Ability to work both as part of a team and individually.
- Regular attendance.
- Legally authorized to work without employer sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Clean and buff trucks and trailers.
- Remove decals from damaged equipment leaving the fleet and prepare the equipment for sale.
- Use industry-standard safety equipment.
- Work in a production line.
- Provide assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the supervisor’s directives and guidance.
