About the position
The Designer will work closely with the Brand Creative Director and the Brand Design Lead to create on-brand, compelling, and effective creative that connects to SimpliSafe's consumers across a variety of channels. They will use their design expertise and the company's brand identity to identify problems their audience has and use creativity to solve those problems, influence their desire, and even change their behavior. The Designer will be inquisitive, collaborative, conceptual, and an amazing designer who can work autonomously but is definitely part of a team. They will need a BA/BS in Design or related field, a solid portfolio demonstrating a variety of work, and 2-3 years of Design/Art Direction experience in all mediums.
Responsibilities
- Evolve and hone the brand identity using design expertise and brand identity
- Create on-brand, compelling, and effective creative that connects to consumers across various channels
- Design for paid/organic social, print, packaging, brand activations, and video
- Collaborate with copywriters and client partners
- Work autonomously but as part of a team
- Be self-directed, self-motivated, organized, disciplined, and hungry
- Have excellent conceptual skills demonstrating an ability to execute engaging design
- Share values of being customer-obsessed, aiming high, having no ego, working as one team, lifting as we climb, and being lean and nimble
- Have a BA/BS in Design or related field
- Have a solid portfolio demonstrating a variety of work
- Have 2-3 years of Design/Art Direction experience in all mediums
- Have advanced command of Adobe Suite, with After Effects and motion graphics ability as a plus
- Have the flexibility to adjust to changing priorities
- Have the ability to back up design recommendations with strategic rationale.
