Curated is a company that connects customers with Real Experts who can help them find exactly what they're looking for. They have a large community of Real Experts who are passionate about various topics and have real, lived experience. The Design Team at Curated partners with Engineering and Product teams to create innovative designs that achieve measurable results. They are currently hiring for various Design roles and are looking for candidates who align with their culture and values, are passionate, have problem-solving skills, and are collaborative.
Responsibilities
- Design innovative solutions for the conversational e-commerce space in partnership with Engineering and Product teams
- Translate product requirements into user-centered designs that achieve measurable results
- Focus on a specific aspect of the Curated product (Consumer, Expert, Platform, or Growth)
- Collaborate with stakeholders from adjacent functions to drive acquisition, activation, and retention of consumers, experts, and partners
- Conduct technical interviews and evaluate candidates based on business acumen, strategy, analytical thinking, execution, passion, and communication skills
- Prepare and present case studies as part of the interview process for Design roles
- Familiarize oneself with e-commerce, gig-economy companies, or marketplaces and explore the Curated platform
- Discuss past projects that demonstrate a range of skills and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrate thought process and collaboration skills in working with stakeholders with different perspectives
- Ask poignant questions to demonstrate engagement and critical thinking skills
- Possess culture and values alignment with Curated
- Be passionate about the business and its goals to eliminate buyer's remorse and enable passionate experts to monetize their knowledge
- Prioritize high-impact opportunities and identify viable solutions to tricky problems
- Have proven experience and strategic leadership experience at scale in retail, e-commerce, or three-sided marketplaces
- Be comfortable tying together datasets, building thoughtful models, and cutting through the noise to drive positive impact
- Take pride in one's work and possess leadership qualities
- Work well in a low-ego, low-bureaucracy, flat organization focused on solving novel challenges.
