Design Consultant - Showroom Sales
About The Position
Louisville Tile of Nashville is seeking an experienced interior designer to serve as a Design Consultant in its Nashville retail showroom. Design Consultants serve residential customers through appointments, using their interior design background to guide customers through tile selection and the design process. The role works in tandem with a Project Coordinator to provide order management service, with showroom designers handling selection information and order entry at the front end. The position is full-time and on-site, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Applicants must pass a post-offer drug screen and background check. Louisville Tile is a family-owned business that has operated for more than 70 years and has 13 locations. It provides tile and setting materials to residential and commercial customers across Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and Tennessee. Requirements
- Interior design degree or 3 years of design sales experience.
- Ability to sketch designs for clients and installers.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Pass a post-offer drug screen and background check.
- Passion for customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage a design project from start to finish.
- Strong communication skills with internal and external customers.
- Desire to learn the technical aspects of tile installation and the required products.

- Established residential designer experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide design services to customers and help guide them through tile selection and design.
- Sketch designs for customers and installers when useful.
- Work with a Project Coordinator to support customer order management.
- Provide selection information and enter orders.
- Develop knowledge of product lines, installation products, and techniques.
- Maintain and organize a visually appealing showroom.
- Manage and update samples, including ordering and organizing them.
- Prepare for trade shows, home shows, and similar events as required.
