About The Position

Teeth & Co. is seeking an enthusiastic, positive Dental Assistant to join its team. The role supports the doctor and registered dental hygienist (RDH) during procedures, helps patients feel comfortable and confident, and contributes to compassionate care in a collaborative, team-centered practice. The Dental Assistant helps maintain a clean, organized, and aseptic clinical environment while supporting patient care and efficient office operations.

Requirements

Proficiency in charting with the doctor and RDH, including a high level of dental terminology.
Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques in a dental clinic setting.
Familiarity with dental imaging techniques, including periapical, panoramic, and bitewing imaging.
Strong communication skills for interacting effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Assist the doctor during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and materials in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take digital X-rays, create treatment plans, and enter progress notes.
Maintain accurate medical information, including health histories, medication lists, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Educate patients about oral hygiene practices and post-operative instructions.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to support office efficiency.
Protect patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Maintain an aseptic environment through proper infection control measures.
