About The Position

The Staff Pad is partnering with a leading Ambulatory Surgery Center in Austin, Texas, specializing in dental restorative and exodontia procedures for pediatric and special needs patients under general anesthesia. The center seeks a part-time Dental Anesthesiologist to provide anesthesia care as part of a dedicated surgical team in a supportive, patient-centered environment. The schedule is one to two days per week, with no call, weekends, or holidays.

Requirements

• Be a licensed Dentist Anesthesiologist.
• Have experience working with pediatric patients.
• Hold appropriate state licensure for the practice location.
• Maintain current BLS certification from the AHA or equivalent.
• Obtain PALS certification within six months of hire.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills and commitment to patient safety.
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, and lift or support patients as needed.

Nice To Haves

• National Board certification is strongly preferred.
• Experience practicing across a range of anesthesia staffing models, including Anesthesia Care Team and independent practice, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care in collaboration with the surgical team.
• Care for approximately seven pediatric patients during a typical operating room day.
• Work closely with dentists, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, registered dental assistants, and other care team members.
• Support a positive, patient-focused culture.
