About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers orders by car to customers within a designated area and may also deliver flyers and door hangers. The role includes general store-team duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to advance into management and other roles.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses in the designated delivery area, including navigating adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers in person and by telephone.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, make correct monetary change, and use a calculator if needed.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Ability to perform precise, rapid hand and finger movements with eye-hand coordination.
Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Ability to meet the physical demands described, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, reaching, bending, occasional crouching or squatting, and climbing stairs or a ladder.
Ability to work in conditions involving variable temperatures and weather, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
Ability to talk and hear on the telephone; use near, mid-range, far, and night vision; perceive depth; and distinguish hot from cold surfaces.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area and to their doors.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Operate store equipment; stock ingredients and supplies; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility.
Navigate delivery routes, addresses, homes, other delivery sites, and potentially multi-story buildings or stairs.
Unload and stock product deliveries, including lifting and moving cases and supplies.
Communicate with customers and co-workers to take and process orders.
