About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers orders by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area and may also deliver flyers and door hangers. The role includes general store team-member duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Orientation and training are provided on the job. The position offers a flexible schedule based on employee availability and store needs. The posting describes part-time work, including a driver opening for 20–30 hours per week with evening and closing shifts, and a part-time opener role with typical shifts from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Closing shifts are typically 5 p.m. to 1:30 or 2 a.m.; end times may vary. The posting states that employees may have the opportunity to work full time if store hours allow and they complete training, are reliable, and communicate their needs to a manager. The posting gives conflicting hourly rates: its opening section lists Washington minimum and maximum pay as $17.13 per hour, while a later section lists $16.66 per hour. It says credit-card tips, cash tips, and partial mileage reimbursement are paid at the end of each shift, and hourly wages are paid by check or direct deposit twice monthly. Medical, dental, and vision insurance are available to employees who have worked at least one year and average at least 32 hours per week. Sick pay is provided in accordance with Oregon and Washington state requirements. The work involves driving and making deliveries, including navigating adverse terrain and multi-story buildings, and may require carrying products while walking or climbing stairs. Store duties involve standing for most tasks, frequent reaching and hand use, and occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, bending, squatting, and climbing. Work conditions include varying weather, temperatures from approximately 36 degrees in the cooler to 90 degrees or higher in some work areas, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
