About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers customer orders within a designated area and performs general store team-member duties. The role involves operating store equipment; stocking ingredients and supplies; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone orders; taking inventory and completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. Delivery Experts use a vehicle to bring products to customers and may also deliver flyers and door hangers. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including into management.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and delivery sites.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to perform the described physical activities, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying items, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs, bending, crouching, and reaching.
• Ability to work around hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, moving mechanical parts, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, and varying temperatures and weather conditions.
• Ability to talk and hear on the telephone and use near-, mid-, far-, and night vision and depth perception.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area, including carrying orders to customers’ doors.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Operate store equipment; stock ingredients and supplies; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility.
• Navigate delivery locations, including private homes, multi-story buildings, adverse terrain, and stairs.
• Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and move or stock supplies.
• Communicate with customers and co-workers in person and by telephone to process orders.
