About The Position
Domino’s franchise is hiring Delivery Experts to deliver products within a designated delivery area. Drivers use their own reliable, insured vehicles and receive adjustable mileage reimbursement for fuel and other auto-related expenses. Tips and mileage reimbursement are paid daily, while hourly wages are paid every other Friday. Drivers typically average over $20 per hour including wages, tips, and mileage reimbursement; this is an estimate, not a stated salary range. Drivers can choose flexible schedules, with short or long shifts and part-time or full-time hours available. The role involves using delivery technology, driving safely, navigating to customer addresses, carrying orders, and completing in-store tasks as needed. The position may involve adverse weather, temperature changes, food odors and dust, compact work areas, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Physical duties include walking, carrying, climbing stairs, driving, bending, reaching, and frequent hand use. This position is with a store owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee alone makes employment decisions, including hiring, compensation, benefits, staffing, and scheduling; a person hired will be employed by the franchisee, not Domino’s.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, subject to review of a Motor Vehicle Report.
- Must have at least one year of verifiable driving history and a clean driving record.
- Must have a reliable vehicle and valid insurance.
- Must have good navigational skills and be able to read and follow maps and locate addresses in the designated delivery area.
- Must be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
- Must be able to follow directives, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, provide excellent customer service, analyze and compile data, and make sound judgments and decisions.
- Must be able to perform the physical duties described, including walking, carrying, climbing, driving, bending, reaching, and frequent hand tasks.
- Must have the vision and sensory abilities described, including far and night vision for driving, depth perception, near and mid-range vision for in-store tasks, and the ability to distinguish hot from cold surfaces.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products safely within the designated delivery area, potentially completing several deliveries per shift.
- Use safe driving practices and navigate to customer addresses using maps and navigational skills.
- Carry pizzas and beverages between the store, delivery vehicle, and customer locations; navigate stairs and other terrain as needed.
- Complete in-store tasks as needed, including food assembly, stocking, cleaning, and answering phones.
- Follow directives and quality-control standards while providing excellent customer service.
