About The Position

Domino’s Pizza is hiring delivery drivers to staff local stores. The role offers a flexible schedule and may suit someone seeking a main job, a supplemental job, or work around school and other activities. Team members may have opportunities to advance into management and other roles, including franchise ownership.

Delivery drivers deliver products by car to customers’ doors and distribute flyers and door hangers. Store team members also operate equipment, stock ingredients and supplies, prepare products, receive and process telephone orders, take inventory, complete related paperwork, and clean equipment and the facility. Orientation and training are provided on the job.

The work involves indoor and outdoor duties and exposure to varying weather, changing temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Physical duties may include standing, walking, sitting for paperwork, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs, bending, crouching, and frequent reaching and hand use. Delivery work requires carrying pizzas and beverages while walking or climbing, driving within the designated delivery area, and traveling between the store, vehicle, and customer locations. Several deliveries may be made per shift, and delivery routes may involve climbing five or more flights of stairs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Must have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Must be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Must be able to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Must be able to perform the described physical duties, including carrying products during deliveries and climbing stairs when required.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within the designated delivery area.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Read maps and locate addresses within the delivery area; navigate delivery sites, including multi-story buildings and adverse terrain.
• Operate store equipment.
• Stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage and work areas, including the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers and co-workers to process orders in person and by phone.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Unload bulk deliveries using a hand truck and move supplies to storage shelves.
• Perform other outside tasks, including removing trash.
