About The Position
The Delivery Driver operates store equipment; stocks ingredients and supplies; prepares products; processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility. The driver delivers products by car to customers, distributes flyers and door hangers, and may make several deliveries per shift within a designated delivery area. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The role involves customer and coworker communication, order entry by keyboard or touchscreen, handling cash and making change, navigating to addresses, and carrying products at delivery sites. Work takes place in a store and involves exposure to changing temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Duties require extended standing and frequent reaching, with walking, lifting and carrying, driving, and occasional climbing, bending, crouching, and pushing or pulling trays.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders by phone and in person.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, using a calculator if needed, and make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination to make precise, rapid movements with the eyes, hands, and fingers.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
- Ability to lift and handle deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds and perform the physical activities described for the role.
- Ability to drive and make multiple deliveries during a shift.
Responsibilities

- Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and stock cases and supplies on shelves.
- Carry pizzas, sides, and beverages during deliveries.
- Navigate delivery sites, including stairs and adverse terrain.
