About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers products by car and to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area, and may deliver flyers and door hangers. The role also performs general store team-member duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers a flexible schedule and potential opportunities for advancement into management and other roles.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, while carrying products.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to perform the physical demands described, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing stairs or ladders, bending, crouching, reaching, and frequent hand use.
• Far and night vision for driving; near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and ability to distinguish hot and cold surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within the designated delivery area; a team member may make several deliveries per shift.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Navigate to addresses using maps and delivery-area knowledge, including adverse terrain, multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites.
• Carry pizzas and beverages while walking and climbing during deliveries.
• Operate store equipment; stock ingredients; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility.
• Communicate with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
• Use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders and handle monetary transactions accurately.
