About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers pizzas within a designated area and provides customer service on the road and in the store. The role includes using a personal vehicle for deliveries, navigating to customer addresses and helping with store operations when not delivering. Domino’s provides full training, including delivery procedures and food preparation. The position may offer opportunities to advance within the company, including into management or franchise ownership.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Friendly, positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle to use for deliveries.
• Proof of car insurance.
• Safe driving record that meets company standards.
• Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses in the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
• Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to perform the listed physical tasks, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying loads up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling trays, climbing stairs, and frequent reaching and bending.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pizzas within the designated delivery area and provide friendly customer service.
• Operate store equipment and stock ingredients from the delivery area into storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders and handle payments, including making correct change.
• Unload and stock ingredient and supply deliveries using a hand truck.
• Carry pizzas, beverages, ingredients, and supplies; push or pull trays on dollies; and navigate stairs as needed.
• Communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone to process orders.
