About The Position

As a Seasonal Delivery Dispatcher, you will coordinate and manage events that can impact delivery drivers’ days. The role balances driver safety with daily customer requirements. Success depends on supporting delivery drivers and collaborating directly with internal and external customers.

Nice To Haves

Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience is an asset.
Dispatch experience in a contact center or transportation environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Receive emergency and non-emergency calls from customers, record significant information, and prioritize calls based on importance.
Partner with Load Builders to maintain communication between customers and field representatives while scheduled work is carried out.
Apply relevant policies and procedures and understand sales processes to help ensure customers are billed appropriately.
Prioritize work, escalate emergency calls when required, and reschedule less critical work.
Provide status updates and relevant information to Operations Managers and other internal parties.
Recommend and implement ways to optimize performance and proactively resolve issues.
Make difficult, time-sensitive decisions to support business objectives.
Maintain call center metrics, including Average Handle Time, after-call work, and returned calls.
Guide CSRs and Sales Representatives on building and gas codes, technician schedules, and whether the company can fulfill particular customer requests.
