About The Position

The Deli/Bakery Clerk prepares products for sale and maintains product levels, quality, and freshness. The role provides friendly service to guests, supports sanitation and cleanliness across food preparation and sales areas, and assists with receiving and storing products. The clerk also communicates guest requests and temperature issues to management or a supervisor, announces specials over the PA system, and helps maintain front-end guest arrival standards. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 25 pounds consistently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to read and understand information and directions.
Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
Prepare products for sale by frying, cutting, slicing, baking, weighing, and pricing.
Maintain product levels, quality, and freshness.
Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, preparation area, and sales area.
Communicate guest requests to management.
Communicate temperature breakdowns to a supervisor.
Keep the supply area neat, clean, and tidy.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Perform front-end duties to maintain the guest arrival standard.
Announce specials and sale information over the PA system.
Assist with product receiving and storage.
