About The Position

The Deli/Bakery Clerk prepares and sells deli and bakery products while providing friendly service to guests. The role includes preparing products, maintaining quality and freshness, keeping work and sales areas sanitary and organized, helping receive and store products, and supporting front-end guest service. This is a part-time position with flexible schedules.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 25 pounds consistently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to read and understand information and directions.
Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
Prepare products for sale by frying, cutting, slicing, baking, weighing, and pricing.
Maintain product levels, quality, and freshness.
Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, preparation area, and sales area.
Communicate guest requests to management.
Communicate temperature breakdowns to a supervisor.
Keep the supply area neat, clean, and tidy.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Perform front-end duties to maintain the “guests arrival” standard.
Announce specials and sale information over the PA system.
Assist with product receiving and storage.
