About The Position

The Deli/Bakery Clerk prepares and maintains deli and bakery products for sale while providing friendly service to guests. The role includes preparing, pricing, and replenishing products; maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in work and sales areas; communicating guest requests and temperature issues; and assisting with front-end duties, product receiving, and storage. This is a part-time position.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
Ability to read and understand information and directions.
Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
Prepare products for sale by frying, cutting, slicing, baking, weighing, and pricing them.
Maintain product levels, quality, and freshness.
Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area, and sales area.
Communicate guest requests to management.
Communicate temperature breakdowns to a supervisor.
Keep the supply area neat, clean, and tidy.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Perform front-end duties to maintain the “guests arrival” standard.
Announce specials and sale information over the PA system.
Assist with product receiving and storage.
