About The Position

The Deli/Bakery Associate delivers customer service in the deli and bakery departments. Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service.
• Answer phones and take phone orders correctly.
• Assist customers at the bakery and deli service counters.
• Keep counters, glass, cases, and work areas clean and neat.
• Maintain excellent personal hygiene habits.
• Stock the sales floor, deli and bakery cases, and supply areas.
• Put away deliveries and store supplies and products neatly in their proper places.
• Follow safety and security procedures.
• Slice and weigh meats and cheeses to customers’ satisfaction.
• May operate small kitchen appliances, ovens, proofers, warmers, and fryers.
• Take out trash and dispose of cardboard.
• Perform daily cleaning duties, such as sweeping and mopping.
• Open and close the department without supervision.
• May assist at the front end with cashier and carryout duties as needed.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
