About The Position

This role works independently to prepare, fry, package, display, and stock deli and/or bakery products while supporting the store’s financial interests. The associate helps provide a positive guest experience and follows company safety and food safety guidelines. The position is based at 810 N Shoop Ave, Wauseon, Ohio 43567-1814. Travel requirements vary by assignment. The work takes place in a typical retail store environment with varied temperatures and exposure to outside weather conditions; noise is usually low to moderate.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
One year of retail or related experience preferred.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Detail-oriented.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.

Responsibilities

Prepare and produce bakery and deli products according to the production planner.
Package and label bakery and deli products according to the program plan.
Merchandise bakery and deli products according to the flight plan and merchandising expectations.
Stock the backroom with bakery and deli products, rotating and dating cases and buckets.
Work with other departments and stores to support growth in SpartanNash retail stores.
Notify the Bakery/Deli Manager when products or supplies need to be ordered.
Communicate completed tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps to other associates.
Follow personal protective equipment and safety guidelines.
Follow food safety and cleaning expectations.
Follow guest experience guidelines.
Perform tasks in other departments as assigned based on customer experience needs.
Meet the physical demands of the position, including standing and walking for extended periods and lifting and moving products.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
