About The Position

The DC Operations Manager assists in directing the day-to-day inbound and outbound operations of a single distribution center. The role supports service, productivity, inventory integrity, team member development, budgeting, safety, and compliance, providing leadership to supervisors and hourly team members while promoting operational efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement. The manager works with the General Manager and supervisors to coordinate operational execution, staffing, labor planning, workflow, performance, and expenses. The role also supports recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, and development; ensures accurate inventory control and warehouse processes; and uses warehouse management systems and operational reporting to support planning and execution. Requirements

Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and team development skills.
Experience leading supervisors and large hourly workforces.
Ability to drive accountability, continuous improvement, and operational consistency across multiple functions.
At least 2 years of leadership experience in distribution center or warehouse operations, with a proven record of success.

Nice To Haves

Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), labor management systems, and operational analytics tools.
Proficiency in one or more additional languages.

Responsibilities

Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily inbound and outbound operations, including service levels, operational performance, inventory integrity, and team member productivity.
Lead and support supervisors and hourly team members, promoting accountability, engagement, and operational excellence.
Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Monitor operational metrics and workflow performance to identify improvement opportunities.
Coordinate staffing, labor planning, scheduling, and workload distribution to meet productivity and service objectives.
Partner with supervisors to monitor departmental expenses, labor utilization, payroll, and operating costs while supporting budget objectives.
Assist with developing and executing annual operational goals, action plans, and performance initiatives for the managed function.
Support recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management activities as needed.
Conduct timely performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development to supervisors and hourly team members.
Ensure inventory control, product handling, shipping, receiving, and warehouse processes are carried out accurately and efficiently.
Review operational processes and recommend improvements to workflow efficiency, service performance, and expense control.
Maintain a safe work environment by managing risk, enforcing safety procedures, and promptly addressing unsafe conditions or behaviors.
Use warehouse management systems and operational reporting to support planning and operational execution.
Communicate operational priorities and expectations to the General Manager, supervisors, and team members.
Promote O’Reilly culture values and continuous improvement throughout the distribution center.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
