About The Position

ViaQuest Day & Employment Services is hiring a full-time Day Program Specialist in Toledo, Ohio. The role supports individuals with developmental disabilities in a Day Program. Training is provided in its entirety, and no prior experience is required.

The position includes transporting individuals between their homes and the Day Program in a company passenger van, supporting community outings, and providing direct care. The goal is to foster individuals’ independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety needs are met.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Motor vehicle record must meet specific requirements, including no OVI/DUI, reckless operation, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over the posted limit.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years or more than 5 points on the motor vehicle record.
• Reliable vehicle with active insurance.
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transport individuals between their homes and the Day Program using a company passenger van.
• Transport and assist individuals during community outings.
• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Foster increased independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring individuals’ health and safety needs are met.
