About The Position

ViaQuest Day & Employment Services provides support to individuals with developmental disabilities in its Day Program. The Program Specialist transports individuals between their homes and the Day Program, participates in community outings, and provides direct care and support. The role aims to foster independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring individuals’ health and safety. Training is provided in its entirety, and no prior experience is required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Motor vehicle record must meet specific requirements, including no OVI/DUI, reckless operation, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over the posted limit; no more than two moving violations in the last two years or more than five points.
• Reliable vehicle with active insurance.
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transport individuals between their homes and the Day Program using a company passenger van.
• Transport and assist individuals during community outings.
• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety.
