Innovations Adult Day Program Specialist
About The Position
At Innovations Learning Center, the Adult Day Program Specialist helps adults with various abilities build skills, explore interests, develop relationships, and participate in meaningful activities. The role involves leading engaging classes and activities that encourage creativity, independence, and personal growth. Program areas include community integration, communication, academics, studio arts and multimedia, health and wellness, and sports and leisure. This is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The starting pay rate is $18.25 per hour, with a maximum rate of $19.25 per hour based on years of experience at Mains’l.

- General knowledge normally obtained through 12 years of education.
- Ability to create and present curriculum to a class of up to 20 students.
- Must successfully pass criminal background clearance or obtain a criminal record exemption as required by law.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current motor vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support to adults with developmental disabilities.
- Plan and lead classes and activities on a variety of subjects.
- Help maintain a safe and supportive environment for students.
- Respond to behavioral situations as needed by following individual support plans.
- Collaborate with individuals and direct service team members.
- Encourage community involvement, social connections, and new experiences.
- Work with individuals as needed in community integration, communication, academics, studio arts and multimedia, health and wellness, and sports and leisure.
