About The Position

LOT Commercial Property Services is hiring a Day Porter to maintain clean, welcoming, and presentable retail and commercial properties. The role involves regularly walking the property, cleaning indoor and outdoor areas, and reporting maintenance or repair needs to a supervisor. The position is located at 4550-4700 W Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90019. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Pay is $18.47 per hour, with weekly pay.

The position requires regular outdoor activity and being on your feet throughout the shift. Applicants should be comfortable working independently, using a mobile device for timekeeping and document review, and providing friendly customer service. Janitorial, custodial, or porter experience is preferred but not required.

Offers are contingent on passing a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and a physical endurance test relevant to the job requirements. The employer participates in E-Verify. Requirements

• Communicate effectively in English or Spanish, both verbally and in writing.
• Be familiar with regularly using a mobile device, such as a cell phone or tablet, for timekeeping and document review.
• Provide friendly customer service.
• Be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Be comfortable working independently.
• Be physically active and comfortable being on your feet outdoors.
• Meet the physical requirements of standing throughout the shift; bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling; lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds; and regularly walking stairs and large properties.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and job-related physical endurance test.

Responsibilities

• Keep the property clean and presentable throughout the day.
• Pick up trash and empty receptacles.
• Sweep, mop, dust, and wipe down surfaces.
• Clean restrooms and high-traffic areas.
• Clean exterior doors, windows, and windowsills.
• Remove debris, including stickers, gum, spills, and graffiti.
• Walk the property regularly to inspect cleanliness.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to a supervisor.
• Use required safety equipment.
