About The Position

EDGE Building Services, Inc. is hiring a Day Porter in Gilbert for a Saturday–Sunday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at $19.00 per hour. The role performs janitorial and porter tasks according to assignment, maintaining building common areas, the exterior, and restrooms. Task rotation and frequency may vary. Additional duties may be requested by the Property Manager and/or Building Engineer. The company describes itself as a family and is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements

Ability to lift 10 pounds or more.
Valid driver’s license.
Dedication to providing premier janitorial services professionally and consistently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, complete established duties and specific tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
Team-player attitude and positive approach.

Nice To Haves

Previous janitorial or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Spot-clean glass in building entrances, lobbies, common hallways, and other common areas.
Remove trash and debris from common areas; spot-vacuum debris and spot-mop spills as needed.
Check elevator cab paneling and remove fingerprints and smudges.
Empty exterior trash receptacles and police the building exterior and landscaping for cigarette butts and debris.
Spot-clean restroom surfaces as needed, including toilets, urinals, counters, sinks, stall partitions, dispenser exteriors, and mirrors.
Check and restock restroom paper products.
Spot-mop restroom floors to remove water and spills, using a “Wet Floor” sign.
Inform the Supervisor of plumbing, mechanical, or electrical malfunctions.
Report visible property damage that occurred before or during the shift.
Perform other duties as requested by the Property Manager and/or Building Engineer.
