About The Position

FCS Services is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Full-Time Day Porter to maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment throughout the workday. The Day Porter plays a key role in ensuring common areas remain clean and presentable while responding promptly to cleaning requests and maintaining high standards of cleanliness during business hours. This is a stable, full-time opportunity with room for advancement. Employees who demonstrate reliability and strong performance may have opportunities to grow into Lead, Floor Technician, or Supervisory positions.

Requirements

Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Able to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work throughout an 8-hour shift.
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Previous commercial cleaning, janitorial, or porter experience is preferred but not required.
We will train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of lobbies, hallways, restrooms, break rooms, offices, and other common areas throughout the day.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, restock paper products, soap, and other restroom supplies as needed.
Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
Respond promptly to spills, cleaning requests, and other facility needs.
Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and spot clean assigned areas.
Clean windows, glass surfaces, doors, and other high-touch areas.
Monitor the facility throughout the shift and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
Assist with meeting room setup, special cleaning projects, and other assigned duties.
Safely operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals according to company procedures.
Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
