About The Position

This position provides quality customer service to clients by maintaining the cleanliness of assigned buildings and vehicles through a range of cleaning duties. The schedule is 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Duties include cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and kitchenettes or break rooms; replenishing supplies; sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and performing other floor care as needed; dusting and cleaning furniture and equipment; cleaning windows, mirrors, and glass; and emptying and disposing of trash and recyclables. The employee notifies appropriate personnel when cleaning supplies or equipment are needed and performs other related duties as assigned. The role involves regular walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing, reaching, handling tools and objects, and pushing or pulling. Employees frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds. Work may involve exposure to prevailing weather, unpleasant or noxious fumes and odors, hazardous environments, and risks of injury. Personal protective equipment, including eye, face, foot, hand, and head protection, is required as appropriate to the task or assignment.

Requirements

At least one year of janitorial or related work experience is preferred but not required.
A high-school diploma or General Education Degree is preferred but not required.
A valid Ohio driver's license is preferred but not required.
Ability to perform the described physical duties, including frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
Use personal protective equipment as required by the task or job assignment.

Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect restroom sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, and other surfaces; polish fixtures and replenish restroom supplies.
Clean and disinfect kitchenette or break-room sinks, countertops, tables, floors, chairs, refrigerators, and other appliances; replenish supplies as appropriate.
Sweep, mop, and/or vacuum floors and remove debris; perform other floor care, including scrubbing, steam cleaning, shampooing, waxing, or polishing, as needed.
Dust, clean, and/or polish furniture and equipment; vacuum upholstered furniture when needed; remove dust and cobwebs from walls, doors, and window sills.
Clean windows, mirrors, and glass and remove smudges.
Empty wastebaskets, trash receptacles, and recyclables and transport them to the proper disposal area.
Notify appropriate personnel when cleaning supplies or equipment are needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
