About The Position

The Day Porter works independently at customer sites, seeking opportunities to improve safety and cleanliness, offering help, and suggesting improvements. Duties include maintaining landscaping beds and parking areas, servicing garbage cans, cleaning bathrooms or vacant units as requested by the property manager, changing cigarette urns, assisting with site reviews, completing miscellaneous work orders, handling illegal dump pickups and graffiti removal as needed, and responding to other requests from a supervisor or management. Requirements

Have a clean driving record and a valid Washington State driver’s license.
Be able to read and interpret documents in English, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and use a handheld smartphone data device.
Demonstrate dependability, including consistent and punctual attendance, arranging coverage when absent, completing tasks on time, or notifying a supervisor with an alternate plan.

Responsibilities

Remove debris from landscaping beds and parking areas.
Change and clean garbage can lids and liners.
Clean bathrooms or vacant units as required by the property manager.
Change cigarette urns.
Help with site reviews.
Complete miscellaneous work orders.
Complete illegal dump pickups as needed.
Complete graffiti removal as needed.
Complete other requests made by the supervisor or management.
Work independently and seek opportunities to improve safety and cleanliness at customer sites, offer help, and suggest improvements.
