Day Porter - Janitorial

About The Position

Platinum Cleaning & Facility Services (PCFS), a division of Healthcare Services Group, Inc., is hiring a Day Porter to oversee janitorial cleaning and facilities maintenance operations at an assigned primary site. The role supports clean, safe, and welcoming environments and helps deliver a positive experience for customers and residents. The starting pay rate is $16.75 per hour. The Day Porter performs routine janitorial duties in shared and public areas, bathrooms, and other assigned spaces; follows safe cleaning and infection-control procedures; and reports equipment or product needs and malfunctions. After training, the employee must be able to complete responsibilities without supervision. A high school diploma or equivalent and previous commercial custodial or janitorial experience are preferred. The position requires standing and walking for 6–8 hours daily, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds, and working around food and cleaning products. Candidates must provide a criminal background check and comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies when required by applicable authorities or customers.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Perform janitorial tasks in entryways, corridors, cafeterias, and common areas to maintain cleanliness and safety.
Clean and sanitize bathrooms, sinks, floors, and commodes, and replenish lavatory supplies as needed.
Remove trash, empty wastebaskets, and remove graffiti.
Use cleaning solutions safely and follow all safety precautions.
Report equipment or cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisors.
Follow infection-control and handwashing procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.
Ensure customer-service and cleaning standards are consistently met.
Perform other duties as assigned.
