About The Position

The Porter maintains the daily cleanliness, appearance, and overall upkeep of public and operational spaces within the building. The role responds to special requests and work orders from Building Management and helps provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for tenants, employees, and visitors. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The stated wage is USD $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience as a Porter.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups at all professional levels.
Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, or kneel as required.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and other common areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust areas as needed to keep them tidy and presentable.
Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
Restock restroom supplies, including soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
Wipe down doors, windows, and other high-touch surfaces.
Respond promptly to spills, messes, and tenant requests.
Assist with moving furniture, setting up meeting spaces, and supporting special events.
Report maintenance or safety issues to management.
Keep cleaning equipment and supplies in good condition.
Follow safety and cleaning protocols.
