About The Position

The Data Specialist supports the program by maintaining data quality in the Database and EPIC system. The role monitors data and REDcap surveys for quality and completeness, maintains a data collection system, prepares and reviews reports, and analyzes data to identify trends, gaps, and service needs. The Data Specialist communicates data clearly to internal colleagues and external stakeholders, prepares data and narratives for recurring reports, and completes purchase orders.

Requirements

• Significant computer experience, including database management and database analysis.
• Proficient use of Excel and Access.
• Ability to communicate with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the EPIC system.
• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field; one year of experience is noted with this education.
• Three to five years of experience maintaining data.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data quality in the Database and EPIC system.
• Maintain a data collection system.
• Monitor data regularly for quality and completeness.
• Prepare and/or review information and reports as requested.
• Prepare data and narratives for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Analyze data and reports to identify trends, gaps, and service needs.
• Analyze, produce, and communicate data clearly and succinctly to internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Monitor and review surveys in REDcap.
• Complete purchase orders.
