Data Science Director

We are seeking a Data Scientist Director who will be responsible for managing client relationships and leading project teams in the development and implementation of end-to-end Data Science solutions. The successful candidate will have expertise in various areas such as classification and regression models, recommendation engines, NLP, Computer Vision, and DevOps/MLOps practices. They will also play a key role in advancing the team's adoption of data-driven approaches and participating in pitch discussions with potential clients. Own client relationships and lead project teams in building and productionising end-to-end Data Science solutions

Participate in advancing the team in adopting best DevOps/MLOps practices

Apply scientific rigour to solutions

Participate in pitch discussions with potential clients

Champion data-driven/data science approaches company-wide

Deliver multiple complex solutions

Lead project team collaboration outside of data science practice

Manage stakeholders from pitch conversations to agile delivery to opportunity expansion

Demonstrate strong Python coding skills

Have experience in C/C++, Linux Shell, SQL, Spark/Databricks

Conduct comprehensive EDA and have experience with TDD

Utilize classic algorithms and approaches such as clustering, classification, and regression

Apply Time Series analysis beyond (S)ARIMA(X)

Develop Recommendation Engines

Utilize NLP and Computer Vision, including Deep Learning and GANs

Implement DevOps/MLOps approaches and techniques in AWS (Azure, GCP)

Apply statistics and reasoning around algorithms and underlying math

Detect and avoid bias in models

Utilize Git, GitFlow, MLflow, Agile development, config-driven implementations, CI/CD

• Experience delivering multiple complex end-to-end data science solutions
• Project team leadership and collaboration with team members outside of data science practice
• Strong Python coding skills, including experience with C/C++, Linux Shell, SQL, Spark/Databricks
• Comprehensive exploratory data analysis (EDA) and experience with test-driven development (TDD)
• Familiarity with classic algorithms and approaches such as clustering, classification, and regression
• Proficiency in time series analysis beyond (S)ARIMA(X)
• Knowledge of recommendation engines
• Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision, including deep learning and GANs
• Familiarity with DevOps/MLOps approaches and implementation in AWS (Azure, GCP)
• Strong understanding of statistics and underlying mathematical reasoning
• Ability to ensure explainability and detect/avoid bias in models
• Proficiency in Git, GitFlow, MLflow, Agile development, config-driven implementations, and CI/CD
