Data Analyst - Sales & Revenue Strategy

This role at OpenTable is responsible for supporting sales and services programs and initiatives by manipulating large sets of data to discover trends and make recommendations. The position involves working cross-functionally with various departments to design, implement, and optimize business needs, as well as delivering data-driven insights to inform strategy and action plans. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication, project management, and data analysis skills, with experience in Salesforce, Google Sheets, SQL queries, and a finance or analytics background preferred. The role also involves practicing sophisticated analytics, presenting data analysis to different audiences, and using Salesforce.com for data stewardship and improvement.

• Support a variety of sales and services related programs and initiatives
• Manipulate large sets of data to discover trends and make recommendations
• Work cross-functionally with multiple departments to support the design, implementation, and optimization of business needs
• Deliver data-driven insights to internal partners to inform strategy and action plans
• Recognize and understand the relationship between clean data, efficient processes, and reporting
• Have an excellent understanding of the OpenTable Sales and Services organization
• Navigate the roles, reporting, and reality of the business in the field
• Have excellent communication, project management, and data analysis skills
• Build recommendations
• Practice sophisticated analytics to support Global Sales and Services decisions
• Prepare and present data analysis for various audiences
• Translate data sets into impactful insights, recommendations, dashboards, and reports
• Process data using SQL and build and maintain live dashboards
• Collect feedback and handle inbound requests for process and system enhancement
• Drive process optimization and training
• Evaluate and outline new sales and services territories
• Use Salesforce.com for data stewardship, dashboard and report creation, end user support, and documentation management
• Advanced Excel skills required, including proficiency with pivot tables and VLOOKUP
• Equivalent Google Sheets experience preferred
• Knowledge in Salesforce, ThoughtSpot, Microstrategy a plus
• Understanding of SQL preferred
• Operational experience in measuring and improving efficiency, utilization, scale initiatives
