DashMart Team Member (Part Time) - Las Vegas
About The Position
DashMart, a local-fulfillment center owned and operated by DoorDash, fulfills convenience, grocery, retail, and prepared-food orders in a physical store for delivery by Dashers. Team Members support daily operations in a fast-paced, physical warehouse environment. Work may include receiving and managing inventory, picking and staging orders, communicating with customers about substitutions, maintaining an organized and safe warehouse, coordinating Runners and Dashers where applicable, and assisting with light food preparation where applicable. AM, PM, and overnight shifts are available. The posting identifies this as a part-time role in Las Vegas.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills, willingness to learn, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment and enjoy a variety of duties.
- Customer-facing experience and an interest in delighting customers.
- Ability to be on your feet and perform warehouse duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds depending on site requirements, with or without accommodations.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in retail, customer service, food and beverage, administrative, healthcare, or similar industries involving a variety of tasks.
- Willingness to learn basic kitchen skills.
Responsibilities
- Receive and stock inventory accurately, safeguard products against loss or theft, monitor quality and freshness, rotate products, and follow HACCP, food-handling, and spoilage-management procedures.
- Use technology similar to smartphone devices to scan packages, pick and stage orders, and hand orders off to Dashers.
- Communicate clearly and pleasantly with customers through the app when substitution approvals are needed.
- Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with DashMart safety and security standards; complete assigned cleaning and warehouse-organization tasks.
- Contribute to a positive, respectful team environment and work with team goals in mind, sharing ideas, opportunities, and challenges as appropriate.
- Where applicable, guide Runners and Dashers to pickup locations; direct traffic, collect racks and carts, and perform other assigned duties.
- Where applicable, assist with light preparation of hot or cold foods and pre-package food items for staging and delivery.
