About The Position

Knott’s Berry Farm Entertainment is casting energetic and experienced dancers for musical productions during the upcoming season of Knott’s Peanuts Celebration. Jazz and musical theatre dance skills are required; singing abilities are a plus. A dance combination will be taught at the audition, and selected candidates may be asked to sing show material at the director’s discretion. Applicants should bring a recent photo and resume and wear appropriate dance attire. Candidates are expected to be fully available for rehearsals and show dates, including weekends. The role pays $20.65 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Pre-employment physicals and background checks are conducted. Dancers perform as part of the Entertainment team, follow the show as scripted or conceived, remain in character while on stage and in view of guests, and interact with guests professionally and artistically. The role also includes providing guest service, maintaining safety and cleanliness, complying with applicable safety guidelines and workplace policies, and meeting attendance and scheduling requirements, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Dance experience is required.
Jazz and musical theatre dance skills are required.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Availability for all assigned rehearsal and event dates, including weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays; weekends are required.
Willingness and ability to wear makeup and costumes for extended periods.
Ability to pass a background check; for applicants 18 or older, it may include credit, criminal, and DMV checks.
Ability to provide records of previous employment, education, and personal references in accordance with company policy, unless prohibited by law.

Nice To Haves

Singing experience is preferred but not required.
Fully available for all rehearsals and show dates.

Responsibilities

Use performance talents to enrich Knott’s Berry Farm’s atmosphere for guests.
Work as a member of a team to achieve the atmosphere and goals established by Entertainment leadership and show directors.
Consistently perform the role as scripted and/or conceived.
Remain in character while on stage and in view of guests, and interact with guests professionally and artistically.
Provide guest service according to Cedar Fair standards, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving accurate directions.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in the assigned work area, comply with Six Flags Safety guidelines and requirements, and report unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
Meet scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Fulfill attendance requirements under the Six Flags attendance policy.
Adhere to Six Flags Rules of Conduct, costuming and grooming standards, and other applicable policies and procedures.
Perform other assigned duties.
