About The Position

Knott’s Berry Farm Entertainment is casting energetic, experienced dancers for musical productions during the upcoming season of Knott’s Peanuts Celebration. Jazz and musical theatre dance skills are required; singing ability is preferred but not required. A dance combination will be taught at the audition, and selected candidates may be asked to sing show material at the director’s discretion. The role pays $20.65 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Dancers perform as part of a team to support the atmosphere and goals established by Entertainment leadership and show directors. Performers are expected to stay in character while on stage and in view of guests, interact professionally and artistically, and provide guest service consistent with company standards. The position requires availability for assigned rehearsals and performances, including weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays. Performers must follow attendance, safety, conduct, costuming, and grooming policies.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
Dance experience, including jazz and musical theatre dance skills.
Availability for all assigned rehearsal and event dates, including weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Willingness and ability to wear makeup and costumes for extended periods.
Ability to pass a background check, which may include credit, criminal, and DMV checks.
Ability to provide records of previous employment and education, and personal references, in accordance with company policy unless prohibited by law.

Responsibilities

Use performance talents to enrich the Knott’s Berry Farm guest atmosphere.
Work as a team member to achieve goals set by Entertainment leadership and show directors.
Perform the role consistently as scripted or conceived.
Remain in character while on stage and in view of guests, and interact with guests professionally and artistically.
Provide guest service according to Cedar Fair standards, including initiating interactions, answering questions, and giving accurate directions.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in the assigned work area; comply with Six Flags safety guidelines and report unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
Meet scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Fulfill attendance requirements under the Six Flags attendance policy.
Follow Six Flags Rules of Conduct, costuming and grooming standards, and other applicable park or division policies and procedures.
Perform other assigned duties.
